A Delicious Almond Flour Sesame Seed Cracker Recipe
If you’ve never made your own crackers, you’ll be surprised at how simple it really is! I’ve messed with this recipe a lot over the years (and will give you variations below!), and what I’ve come to realize is that the only necessary ingredients here are almond flour, salt and water. The rest just add some additional nutrition and flavor!
These Keto Almond Flour Crackers are the perfect canvas to build a snack on. I make batches of these crackers and keep them in the freezer. When I am tired of meats and veggies or salads, I pull out these crackers, slice up some cheese, and put them on a plate with some pickles, mustard, and smoked salmon.

Variations on this healthy Keto Cracker Recipe:
- Everything but the Bagel Seasoning: Add some EBTB seasoning to the dry ingredients, and infuse your crackers with a delicious caraway-garlic-onion flavor.
- Sesame: My favorite addition is sesame seeds. I love to use black sesame seeds (as pictured above) for a beautiful color variation as well.
- Almond Flour Cheese Crackers: Add 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese into the dry ingredients to infuse these with a delicious cheese flavor!
- Super Seed: Add chia seeds, flax meal, and sunflower seeds for an extra boost of nutrition and flavor.

How to Make Almond Flour Crackers
Step 1: Add the dry ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl. This includes the almond flour and salt, and optional flax seed meal, sesame seeds, or everything but the bagel seasoning. If you’re adding parmesan cheese or seeds, this is where you’d add them! Mix the dry ingredients to combine.

Step 2: Add water, and stir to combine. The dough should hold together but not be too sticky. It’s okay to add a little more water to get the dough to hold together, or a little more almond flour if it seems too sticky to roll out.

Step 3: Place the ball of dough on a piece of parchment paper. I use a very large piece, place the ball of dough on it, and then fold it over the top so I can roll the dough out between two pieces. These crackers taste the best when rolled thin, so try to roll them out as thin and evenly as possible, in a 10″ x 15″ rectangle.

Step 4: Cut the top part of the parchment paper off, and slide the thinly rolled almond flour cracker dough onto a baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to cut the crackers into 1-inch squares. This can be done with a pizza cutter but I have found that a large knife makes cleaner cuts.

Step 5: Bake the crackers for 20 minutes. They should be lightly browned. Watch them closely so they don’t over brown or burn, which is easy to do with almond flour.
After the crackers have completely cooled, gently break them apart into squares.
Store leftover crackers in an air-tight container in the fridge or freezer.

I was about to give up on keto crackers until I tried this recipe. I’ve only just taken these out of the oven and started eating some of the irregularly shaped bits along the edges, but I can already tell these crackers and I are going to be very good friends. I made the basic recipe with EBTB seasoning, and now I can’t wait to try some of the other variations. And using a knife to cut the squares worked so much better than the pizza wheel. Thanks for that tip and for the recipe.!
I adore these 🙂 I have a couple other methods for keto crackers that are equally delicious — I will post them soon!
These have a lot of potential, but mine came out super salty! I added the salt in the recipe plus the EBTB as an add in. I’m guessing I was supposed to omit the salt if using the EBTB??
I like them with salt and EBTB!
I made them again without EBTB and they were perfect! Maybe my EBTB has more salt than it should 🤷🏻♀️
Fantastic crackers
